Do you have a physical location?
No storefront just yet. We sell at local markets & pop ups in or near Houston throughout the year. The location and date of the market where we'll be selling will always be posted on our website and our Instagram story @candesentbooks.
We will be popping up every third weekend of each month. Please see our pop up schedule page for more details.
Do you only sell fiction books?
We are primarily a fiction bookstore. However, we do sell books of poetry.
Do you sell children books?
Currently, we only focus on Young Adult and Adult fiction.
Will you buy my books?
Of course! If you have fiction or poetry books you'd like us to buy, we would love to buy any of your books that we are specifically looking for. Email us at candescentbooks@gmail.com or dm us on IG @candescentbooks with images of the titles you'd like to sell. We can schedule a pick up or have you drop by one of our pop ups!
Do you take book donations?
Absolutely! Email us candescentbooks@gmail.com or dm us on IG @candescentbooks to schedule a pick up or drop off at any of our pop up events. Stay tuned to our incentive program rewarded to those who donate!
Are your candles sustainable?
Our wax blend comes from renewable sources, are clean-burning, biodegradable, and natural. Our fragrances are safe: phthalate free and non-toxic. Additionally, all of our containers are 100% recyclable & able to be converted into other things!
Is your candle wax blend safe?
We use a virgin coconut soy wax that is blended with a small amount of food-grade paraffin - all made in the USA. This wax is gluten free, toxin free, paraben free, phthalate free, vegan, cruelty free, carcinogen free, mutagen free, and skin-safe (:
